Have you ever thought about volunteering with your dog? These classes prepare dog and handler teams to visit chronic and acute care facilities including hospitals, rehabilitation centers and nursing homes. They will also prepare you and your dog for the  Dogs In Service certification examinations as well as the national certifications offered by The Delta Society, Therapy Dogs Inc. and Therapy Dogs International. Learn more about Animal Assisted Therapy.

Your dog must have taken a Basic Obedience class and, before it can be certified, it must be at least one year of age.

Animal Assisted Therapy 1

For dogs and handlers who are interested in volunteering doing Animal Assisted Therapy visiting patients in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, nursing homes and other facilities.  Prepare for the American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen Certification plus Therapy Dog certification through various organizations.

Animal Assisted Therapy 2

For dogs and handlers who have their national certification and are interested in improving and adding to their team skills.  Various skills for working with Physical, Occupational, Recreation and Speech Therapists as well as skills for Animal Assisted Crisis Response.
